Make a short video with voice and captions

Short videos in Postclo are scenes of words and pictures with motion, a voiceover and captions — up to 60 seconds, made in your browser.

Choose Short video in the composer and say what it is about. The video is written first, as scenes: each has the words shown on screen and a caption — what the voice says. You edit those before anything is spoken.

Edit the scenes

In the editor, each scene is a slide. Change its words on the Text tab, its pictures on the Pictures tab, and how it cuts to the next scene. The video is held to its length limit, and a scene with a voice lasts as long as its words take to say.

Add the sound

  1. Choose a voiceOpen the Sound tab and pick one of four voices — Hear this voice plays a sample. Make the voice speaks every caption, in your browser, for free.
  2. Pick a caption styleThree styles, each lighting up the words as they are said, kept clear of the app’s buttons and description.
  3. Add musicPick a track by mood, or upload your own. The music is turned down under the voice automatically.

Download

The video renders in your browser and downloads as an MP4 — vertical 1080 × 1920 for Reels, TikTok and Shorts, or square for feeds. Download the captions as .srt or .vtt too, for platforms that take a caption file.

Common questions

Is the voiceover charged?

No. The voice is made in your browser. The video itself is priced as one short video, shown before you make it.

Can I use my own music?

Yes. Upload a track on the Sound tab; it goes into your media library and the video keeps its own trimmed copy.
