Getting started: your first project

Everything in Postclo starts from a project — the thing you make content for. Here is how to set one up in a few minutes and make your first piece from it.

A project is whatever you make content for: a product, a brand, a person, a Facebook page or a business. Each project has its own overview, logo, colours, media folder and content, so what you make for one never borrows from another.

Create an account

Sign up with your email or Google. When you verify your email you get 150 free credits, once — enough to research a project and make your first pieces. No card is needed.

Set up the project

  1. Name itThe name appears in the sidebar’s project switcher, and on visuals when there is no logo.
  2. Add your websiteResearch reads it to learn what you do — the home page and the pages that explain your offer. No website? Choose that option and describe it instead.
  3. Describe it in your own wordsWho it is for, what you offer, how you like to sound. The more you say, the better everything that follows.
  4. Create the projectResearch starts. Its cost is shown before it runs, and if it fails or you stop it, nothing is charged.

Read the overview research writes

Research reads your site and searches the web, then writes the project overview: what it is, who it is for, the offer, proof, voice, positioning, competitors and the angles worth posting about. Read it once — every post, visual and Agent answer is written from it, so a wrong line here travels everywhere. Editing the overview takes a minute.

Find your way around

Each project has four sections in the sidebar:

  • Create — the project’s home: one box to make a post, an image, a carousel or a short video.
  • Ideas — the Agent: ask what to post, about competitors or a launch, and get pieces to make.
  • Content — everything you have made, with each piece’s post and visuals.
  • Brand — the overview, your logo and your colours.

The credits pill in the top bar always shows your balance. Switch projects, or start a new one, from the switcher at the top of the sidebar.

Make your first piece

Open Create, say what you want in a sentence, pick what to make and press Generate. The composer guide covers the options. You review everything before it leaves the app — Postclo never posts for you.

Common questions

Do I need a website?

No. Choose No website and describe the project in your own words; research then works from your description and what it can find on the web.

Can I have more than one project?

Yes. Creating projects is free; researching each one’s overview costs credits, shown before it runs.
